Safety tips

Dobri helps you find a person, but the choice and the trust are built by you. These tips are written for the moment that matters most: before you let a stranger into your home or trust them with a loved one.

What Dobri does and does not do

  • Dobri shows profiles with SMS-confirmed phone numbers and reviews that come only from real people who contacted the helper through the platform.
  • Dobri does not verify identity, qualifications or criminal records and does not guarantee helpers. The profile and the reviews are a starting point, not a substitute for your own judgement.
  • Profiles with too many negative reviews are removed from the platform.

Before you meet

  • Read all the reviews, not just the score. Notice how the helper responds to criticism.
  • Talk on the phone before meeting in person. Describe specifically what your loved one needs and listen to the questions the person asks: an experienced helper asks a lot.
  • Ask for references from previous clients and call them. This is normal practice; a good professional will not be offended.
  • If the work involves children or a vulnerable person, ask for qualification documents and a criminal record certificate. You have every right: you make the judgement and you carry the responsibility for the choice.

At the first meeting

  • Hold the first meeting in a neutral place or with someone close to you present.
  • Agree the scope of work, the price and the working hours in writing (even in a message) before you start.
  • Start with a trial period: a few hours or days when you are nearby.

Red flags

  • Insisting on advance payment before any work has started.
  • Refusing to give references, or irritation at normal questions.
  • Evasive answers about experience and previous engagements, or mismatches between what is said and the profile.
  • Pressure to decide "right now, because others are interested".
  • Asking to move the communication off the platform before even the first call, for no reason.

If something goes wrong

  • Use "Report" on the profile or the conversation: our team reviews every report.
  • For safety concerns, write to info@dobri.bg: we reply within 24 hours.
  • In case of a crime or immediate danger, call 112 before anything else.
